How heartbreaking and so sweet at the same time. Got to love motherhood! I am not looking forward to my kids finally figuring out who I am... oh help me!

What a nice story... I'm pretty sure I never really believed in the tooth fairy at all. Maybe my 3 older sisters wrecked it for me at a young age. Or maybe it was that we NEVER put anything under our pillows - it was always in the living room in a "special tooth fairy" pillow...

I recently purchased a Nintendo DS... It's a bad bad bad toy. Bad... Might as well change the name to Cracktendo...

Did you ever find the tooth???

Awwwww. I can just picture his little face when you told him!

P.S. It's me, the Holiday Armadillo!

OMG ... that is just a sweet story. Do we have to tell them there's no Santa, Tooth Fairy, etc.? I thought their friends were supposed to do that! ;)

P.S. LOL at Millie's comment. I love the Holiday Armadillo.

I'm sorry Shelly, you can't be the most pathetic Tooth Fairy. I won that title many years ago. More times than I can remember with my 5 kids, I forgot to leave a quarter and take the tooth. sigh. Just never got that part of mothering right and boy can I sympathize with the 'looks' you get from the other kids! Yikes!

At least you don't have to put on that dress anymore.

Cute story.... I too have been a failure in the Tooth fairy department. Lucky for us, my kids still believe the "she probably just had a really busy night, why don't you try again tonight" routine. One of them (I think it was Addie) had to try 3 or 4 times before the lame Tooth Fairy finally came through.

I like the idea of the special tooth fairy pillow in the living room. I'm sad I never thought of that. That was one smart mother.

I caught the tooth fairy with her hand under my pillow...she looked just like my Mom!
I think I am lamer than you...but as long as the kids get their loot eventually they are pretty happy.

No Cool Story

That tooth-in-frame is the most amazing thing I have ever seen.
See? You are getting a little bit better at this tooth fairy thing!
