I promised you Epcot and I will get to it, but first...
Does anyone have a wonderful no-fail cure for hay fever/itchy watery eyes/I want to gouge my eyes out with a crochet hook?
Because I could really use that.
<segway>
I didn't throw my birthday present away, yay!
But I almost did.
See, Tom bought me concert tickets for my birthday and told me to watch out for the tickets to come in the mail and not to open them.
And then he proceeded to almost tell me all about it about 70 times.
(I think I've told you about his non-secrety-keeping issues.) And I was determined to not know any more about it than it was a concert. And so I proceeded to try to not know anything about it. And to shush him repeatedly as he would almost tell me something.
And apparently I am really good about trying to not know about things I don't want to know about, because I forgot to look out for the tickets.
And you know they come in really nondescript looking/slow-mail spammy looking envelopes.
And about a week and a half ago, I got the mail. And as is my wont, I rifle through the mail and toss the crap mail from the real mail as I head into the house.
And then a couple of hours later Tom asked me, "Have you seen those tickets? Because I'm starting to get worried."
And I said, "No."
And then I started thinking.
And then I ran back outside to the garbage can, and grabbed the mail off the top (fortunately) and it was soaked with rain, but the tickets inside were not (again fortunately). And I was really glad I didn't throw out my birthday present.
And then Saturday we went to go see Teegan and Sara. And I pretended I wasn't beginning to get the hay fever/itchy watery eyes/I want to gouge my eyes out with a crochet hook disease, but really it didn't really get terrible until Sunday.
And it was super fun.
And a lot louder then you would think just listening to their album.
And this was a tribute post to how they interacted with the audience.
And no it is not really my birthday yet, apparently they wouldn't rearrange their tour dates just for me.
And it is now done because I need to go and put cotton balls soaked in hot water on my eyes, the only thing that really makes them feel better. At least until you tell me you wonderful no fail cure.
And that is your cue.
Go to the doctor and get a prescription for Patanol. It's the BEST... It does require a prescription but it really works. I use it during the summer when my eyes get all itchy and goopy... Clears them RIGHT UP!!!! In MINUTES!!!!

I've said this before: Claritin and M&Ms (or any chocolate). You pop the pill and while you wait for it to work, you eat some chocolate and it kills your itchy sinuses and makes you forget about your eyes. Otherwise, a hot washcloth.
Glad you had fun at the concert! Hope your birthday was wonderful yesterday!

OK, seriously, I KNOW when your birthday is. I think I have my dates wrong though. Is it only the 18th?

The only thing that works well for me is Claritin!
I'm so glad that you found the tickets before they were taken away by the garbage truck. I don't want to admit how many times I've shuffled through the garbage sack looking for things I've thrown away! LOL!
I'm glad you had fun at your concert! :)

I use a Claritin every day. As for my eyes, I get Visine Allergy Formula and use it about 4 times a day. It helps. Take care and I'm glad you enjoyed the concert. Now put down that crochet hook!
