EWWWWWWWWWW! So glad he decided to go elsewhere! I would love a video of this. One of the kids wasn't taping??? : )

Dawnyel

You are more with it than I would have been. I would have hid under my blankies and whined. *shuddering* ICK! At least it's out of your house now! :)

No Cool Story

WHAT?! ewww. A bat. After that I'd have to decontaminate the whole house, along with myself. A bat is a rat with wings.
What did you do with the laundry basket afterwards? What did the kids say when you told the story?

delle

you are a brave woman Shelly! I would have told Tom to get it out on his own..... I am a big fat chicken when it comes to those things...

Barbara - LOL you did get the part about it being 11:30 at night didn't you? Nope no kids were videotaping, although it would have been a good one. I thought briefly about grabbing my camera too, but decided I just wanted the thing out of my house, plus I didn't want it to start flying around again!

NCS - I did wash the laundry basket, but I am keeping it, lol. I'll hide it if you ever visit Pittsburgh! The kids oddly enough were just bummed to have missed it. Especially Brooke, she was thrilled with the idea of a bat in our house! Go figure!

Danyel & Delle - Yeah I'm thinking it was not any fun to deal with, but the alternative was Tom not being able to get it out of the house and it staying in the house, I thought helping was much less freaky than adding a new pet to the family.

Thoroughly Mormon Millie

OK, GROSS. But you described the incident so well, I was actually thinking, wow, what fun! A bat trapped in my house - what a novel idea for a family-bonding activity! How come bats never fly in MY windows?

Love the sound effects too - GRINE, GRINE, GRINE... it's just like watching the first few seconds of "Scooby Doo."

Sketchy

TMM - Well, now I know what to get you for Christmas!

Sketchy

TMM - Oh and to answer your questions, bats don't fly in your windows because you live in Washington...sob! Washington!

Ann I

Seriously? I would die. Bats are bad. Pure evil. Scared the crap outta me as a kid (we had lots of bats in our house & at my grandma's house).
